The Paper Theory Patterns Olya Shirt can be styled in many different ways! Read more for ideas on how to style your Olya Shirt, especially for the petite frame!
Recently, I made the Paper Theory Patterns Olya Shirt and I have had so much fun styling it! Button up shirts are incredibly versatile, and there are so many ways to style them. From office wear to casual wear, here are 12 ways to style the Olya Shirt!
Wear It 100% Buttoned Up
The first way to style the Olya Shirt is a very classic look – buttoned up to the collar. I think that this look is very polished and professional!
Roll the Sleeves Up Halfway
A second option is to roll your sleeves up halfway for a more casual look. This is a good option for petite women, as it draws the eye up.
Partially Unbutton Your Olya Shirt
To continue on with creating a more casual look, the third and fourth options are to partially unbutton your shirt. Slightly unbuttoning the shirt by a couple buttons adds a little more openness at the collar bone. Unbuttoning it halfway is a bit more sexy (hello, cleavage) and would be a great option in the summer as well!
Wear It Fully Unbuttoned as a Layering Piece!
Wearing it fully unbuttoned as an outer layer is a great fifth option! Here, I have worn it over a simple black camisole. This would be great in warmer weather, especially when transitioning from warm to cool temps between morning, day, and night.
Tie It Around Your Waist and Wear It as an Accessory
If you’re going to wear your Olya Shirt unbuttoned and take it off occasionally you need somewhere to put it, right? If you don’t have somewhere to store it, option six is to wear it as an accessory and tie it around your waist!
A Variety of Ways to Tuck In Your Paper Theory Patterns Olya Shirt
Here are options seven, eight, and nine: the Half French Tuck, French Tuck, and Full Tuck. You can have three different looks in one day if you choose! Start the work day with your shirt fully tucked in, then transition to happy hour with a Half French Tuck or French Tuck.
I am a big fan of various “tucked-in” variations for button up shirts. As a petite woman, they create an appearance of length since it brings the horizontal line up, creating the appearance of more length at the legs.
Make Your Olya Shirt Short Sleeved
This is a simple tenth option – turn your long sleeve Paper Theory Patterns Olya Shirt into a short sleeve shirt! This is a great warm weather look and another good petite option as it also draws the eye up.
Tie It at the Waist and Make it a Crop Top!
This is, in my opinion, a super cute, flirty, and fun eleventh way to wear this top. I can imagine wearing this for a summer stroll by the beach or a resort vacation. Pair it with some jean shorts and a swimsuit underneath, and you’re vacation ready! But if you’re not vacationing somewhere sunny anytime soon (sadly, like me), wearing it with a pair of jeans in the summer is cute too!
Wear It Off the Shoulder
Lastly, the twelfth way to wear the Paper Theory Patterns Olya Shirt is to wear it off the shoulder. The off the shoulder button up look has been gaining a lot of popularity, and I think that this top lends well to that style. It’s very flirty and would be great for a date night!
