I don’t know about you, but I have sooooo many remnants from previous sewing projects. The longer my fabric sits in my stash untouched, the more I forget about its details! I tried looking at different methods of fabric organization, but none really fit my specific needs.
Fabric Stash Organization Cards
I decided to solve my little problem, so I created these fun Fabric Stash Note Cards to jot down all the important details of my fabric when I initially purchase it. That way, when I eventually end up with leftovers I can just write in the remaining yardage I have left!
I also designed a smaller version of these cards. I created Fabric Stash Tags to pin on my smaller remnants. This has helped me with my fabric organization as I have A LOT of smaller remnants. For example, below is a remnant of Sandwashed Poly Satin I used for my Simplicity 8789 Bodysuit Blouse.
How to Get Your Own Fabric Organization Cards
I found these to be so useful that I decided to make them available to my fellow sewists. They are now posted up on my Etsy Shop!
The Fabric Organization Note Card and Tag are available as a printable template. I have created PDF files for you to print at home or through a copy shop. I like to buy these blank 4×6 notecards on Amazon and blank business card sheets to print at home in bulk.
If you order both templates, you can get 10% off using the coupon code TEMPLATE10!
Happy organizing! If you organize your stash with these cards and/or tags, tag me on Insta! I’d love to see how you used them!
