Today I’m sharing the second installation of sharing my love for the Simplicity New Look 6378 pattern. For this longer version, I actually made this 8 months ago but since I busted out this pattern again for some new spring wardrobe additions, I thought I’d give this one some love too. This is actually the first garment I EVER sewed up, so it has some sentimental value.
I made this one using a polyester crepe-back satin fabric from Joann Fabrics. I ended up making this longer version in a size down from my usual (made extra small, usually size small), and I shortened it by a couple inches as well. If I didn’t shorten it, it really would have been a true duster – I am only 5’0″ after all. I only wanted this to hit my mid-calf so I’m glad I decided to shorten it.
Again, very simple and easy to sew as I mentioned in my original blog post. If you’re a beginner you will have a blast with this as a first project! Now, get out there and sew up some fun flowy cardigans for spring and summer!
